A top student and a leader, Rina captained Rwanda’s National Women’s Cricket Team and continued to play on Haverford College’s varsity squad in the US. Before college, Rina attended Lycee de Kigali and served as a teacher’s assistant for Rwanda’s first program for students with special needs as well as an administrative assistant for the Rwanda Cricket Association. She graduated with a degree in International Studies with a concentration in Peace, Justice and Human Rights in 2016. During the fall of 2014, Rina was awarded with a study abroad scholarship from the Danish Institute of Study Abroad to study in Copenhagen, Denmark. During the summer of 2015 she interned with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Rwanda. Upon earning her Bachelor's degree, Rina returned home to negotiate a contract with an economic development agency in Rwanda. She currently works at the Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation in Kigali.
