Assumpta is a graduate of Gashora Girls Academy of Science and Technology in Rwanda. She believes that small actions can really make a big change in the world. Motivated by the news of deforestation and lack of reliable electricity in Rwanda, Assumpta has made it her mission to improve energy development in her country. Because of this she worked as a project leader on a solar oven project, which she regards as a practical first step toward her dream to solve electricity problems in Rwanda. Previously, she was an empowerment mentor at 100 Women Who Will Impact Rwanda girl's camp. She also volunteered with National Paralympic Committee Rwanda, is a member of the Peace and Love Proclaimers' Club, a club that spreads the message of unity and post-genocide love, and was the Director of Marketing for a Fashion & Design club. She promoted the sales of fashion accessories and organized fashion events both in and out of school to raise money to buy clothes for vulnerable young children. In her free time Assumpta was also a leader and a participant of the school choir. Assumpta is sophomore at Bucknell University, where she studies civil engineering. She hopes to use her education to participate in infrastructure development in Rwanda and contribute to Rwanda's economic growth.
