About Muhlenberg
Founded in 1848, Muhlenberg is a highly selective, private, four-year residential, liberal arts college located in Allentown, Pa., approximately 90 miles west of New York City. With an undergraduate enrollment of approximately 2200 students, Muhlenberg College is dedicated to shaping creative, compassionate, collaborative leaders through rigorous academic programs in the arts, humanities, natural sciences and social sciences as well as selected pre-professional programs, including accounting, business, education and public health. A member of the Centennial Conference, Muhlenberg competes in 22 varsity sports. Muhlenberg is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
By enrolling SHE-CAN scholars, Muhlenberg College has added to our campus' community and helped unlocked the incredible potential of great students from Rwanda. SHE-CAN scholars, as we expected, have engaged meaningfully in the academic and co-curricular community and become vocal leaders in their peer groups and in classes. Partnership
We highly value our relationship with Muhlenberg College. They have been supporting our scholars since 2013 and were among the first to make a long-term commitment to the SHE-CAN Coalition. Our SHE-CAN scholars make for a strong cohort that supports and learns from each other.
Muhlenberg rounds out our SHE-CAN schools by providing a close-knit community that is welcoming, warm and inclusive. The small school environment provides a very friendly educational experience and is known to be a “caring community.” Each of our scholars feels like they are an integral part of the campus. In fact, our scholars see themselves as highly valued multi-cultural ambassadors who bring an ever-widening perspective of ideas to their peers and colleagues.
